Planting into pots of boxes and containers:

There should be drainage holes at the bottom of the container/box. Place a small layer of soil at the bottom of each container. Position the root balls so that they can be covered with soil on all sides. Check that the roots do not touch the walls of the containers. Fill the containers with substrate, leaving a 2 cm gap to the edges. Then gently compact the substrate and water the seedlings generously.

Transplanting:

Balcony flowers are often annual plants. They should always be planted in fresh soil in clean, disinfected containers. Transplant perennial plants every 2 years, in spring or after flowering, always into larger containers. The day before the procedure, water the plants generously, remove the plant with as large a root ball as possible and immediately plant in a new container. If necessary, clean the roots, remove damaged or dead ones, and cut off those that are too long. Plant the plants keeping the rules given for new plants.

In case of dryness, soak the entire container by placing it in a container with water for at least 1 hour.

Planting:

Dig a hole twice the diameter and half as deep as the root ball. Mix the soil from the pit with the substrate in a 50/50 ratio. Fill the hole with the mixture to such a level that the planted plant will eventually be as deep as it has grown so far. Covering the lump with the remaining mixture, systematically pour water so that it settles naturally, and finally form a basin. The water should trickle down towards the plant. After 2-3 weeks after planting, check whether the soil has settled and replenish with substrate, if necessary. Water regularly during the initial growth period, especially during periods of drought and heat.

Water with a small amount of water more often than crops on peat substrates. Water preferably with rainwater or water standing off min. 24 hours.

Fertilization: start after 3 weeks with fertilizer for green plants.

Note: the substrate before use well loosen if necessary moisten.

Select plants that match your balcony's level of sunlight. Regular watering is key; make sure the soil is moist, but not soaked. Don't forget to remove blooms and wilted leaves, which stimulates plants to continue flowering.
