Planting and transplanting in containers:
Young plants or plants in small containers should be repotted once a year, older plants every 2-3 years. Repot in early spring or after flowering, preferably to a larger container. The root ball should be carefully removed, gently cleaned from dead roots, dried and immersed for about 1 minute in water at room temperature. Place the plant in the container add soil. Water generously the first time. Maintain constant moderate moisture of the substrate.
Planting in the garden:
Choose a place sheltered from the wind, slightly shaded. Hydrangeas badly tolerate positions in intense sunlight. When planting, mix KRONEN Soil for hydrangeas in a 2:1 ratio with the native soil. Prepare a hole twice the size of the root ball, fill in 1/3 with the substrate, moisten and place the plant. Add the remaining part of the soil. Make sure that the soil is evenly moist but not too wet. Most hydrangeas are sensitive to frost, so protect them before winter.
Fertilization:
Hydrangeas require intensive fertilization from spring to July. It should be started 2-3 weeks after planting. We recommend KRONEN fertilizer for rhododendrons.
