KRONEN® Soil for conifers
KRONEN® Soil for conifers with peat fibers is a ready-to-use substrate for planting and transplanting of coniferous plants into containers and into the ground. The substrate is produced on the basis of lightly and heavily decomposed raised bog peat, enriched with multicomponent fertilizer. Wood fibers ECOFIBREX® characterized, among other things, by a slow mineralization process, make this substrate stable and resilient with large air spaces.

Planting in containers:
Planting and transplanting conifers into containers can be done from spring to autumn. Remove the root ball carefully, gently clean the dead roots, if it is dried out immerse it for about 1 minute in water at room temperature. Place the plant in the container add soil, water the first time generously. The substrate in containers with conifers should be constantly slightly moist especially if you transplant plants in the summer.
Caution: do not allow the formation of stagnant water in the lower part of the pot because this leads to the death of the roots.
Planting in gardens:
The diameter of the pit prepared for planting should be twice the size of the plant's root system. The depth of the pit should be 20 cm more than the root system of the plant. Loosen the soil at the bottom of the pit to a depth of about 40 cm, and mix the soil excavated from the pit with KRONEN® conifer substrate at a ratio of 1:1 and partially pour it into the bottom of the pit. Protective measures of the root system (nets), loosen especially at the trunk, so that they do not prevent the growth of the root ball. Place the plant gently in the hole, cover with the previously prepared soil mixture, compact (trample). Form a border of the hole to prevent water drainage. Water generously. Especially in warm, rain-free periods, the planted plant should be watered more often.
Caution: conifers should not be planted deeper into the ground than they grew.
Fertilization:
To fertilize conifers, we recommend using long-acting, organic-mineral KRONEN® Fertilizer for conifers.
CAUTION: substrates containing wood fibres and compost should be very carefully fluffed up before use, as during production and transport they become more compacted.
